Under load, on hard acceleration
Check within a few days- Ignition: coil or spark plugs
- Carbon in the intake (direct-injection engines)
- Fuel filter or fuel pressure
The fault can get worse and more expensive. Drive carefully and book a diagnosis.
Jerking under acceleration usually has two sources: the engine (ignition, fuel, carbon in the intake) or the drivetrain (clutch, dual-mass flywheel, automatic gearbox). What matters is exactly when it jerks — that narrows the search a lot.

We read fault codes and misfires on individual cylinders and check ignition and fuel. In direct-injection engines we assess carbon build-up in the intake, and for the gearbox — the clutch or the oil and adaptation.
This is guidance only, not a diagnosis. We’ll find the exact cause at our workshop in Bielany — you approve the quote before any work starts.
The misfires that cause jerking can damage the catalytic converter over time. Better not to put off diagnostics.
In direct-injection engines (e.g. TSI, TFSI), carbon on the valves is a common cause — then yes. We check the carbon build-up before the job.
Computer diagnostics costs from 100 PLN. Afterwards we give you a repair quote to approve.
